Bryan,

We usually do 1 hour intervals.  If we have a problem, we will take
more often snaps for awhile until we identify the problem.

I don't use Win for Oracle, but you should be able to use dbms jobs to
schedule this and that should be a good way to do it.  I use crontab
in unix.
