SQL*Developer 1.1 is available.

It looks cool. It even has schema diff and export DDL. What is more, on some
operating
systems, it is available as an RPM package, which is excellent. I didn't have
to use
force to install it, despite the fact that I don't have JDK 1.5 installed:

$ rpm -qa|grep jdk
jdk-1.6.0-fcs
$

SQL*Developer is not just looking cool, it also starts much faster then the
predecessor.
Way to go Oracle, unlike the useless crap called grid control, this is actually
nice. If
someone wants to read my opinion about the new agent and OMS, it's on
comp.databases.oracle.server.
I cannot post it on this group as the administrator doesn't tolerate
Oracle*Expletives.
