That was what I was thinking - maybe you don't care anymore based on =
RAID - yadayada - but here is one reason to keep those suckers separate =
- which I never moved away from !!!

Guys,

The controller was replaced - the database came up very happy.  I am =
running the RMAN backup which failed the first time (before the =
controller was replaced) and I am thinking - I might not have to recover =
nada - that maybe the files were showing up corrupt because the read =
from the bad controller - but the data wasn't truly bad.

I am running dbverify but on some files it never seems to write out =
anything!!! - like it stalls.  Anyone experience that?

Damn...  Forgot about the indexfile option...  Much cleaner then the=20
show=3Dy method...=20
