RE: Red Hat Advanced Server downloads

I wish I was a student...

I guess I still am I only have 5 years' experience with Oracle.

I'm still learning.

0 with linux though; 4 with OS/2 (sigh), 5 with Tru64 unix, a few months
experimenting with solaris x86 2.6, over 10 years with various flavours of
win32, DOS 1.0 -> DOS 6.2, ... I still have PC Mag vol.1, no. 1 at home, I'm
thinking of framing it.

I am frustrated with Red Hat because the ISOs don't show up anywhere in my
Red Hat Network pages, only the Red Hat 9 ISOs. Not what I paid for last
year. The Oracle link said I was going to get RHAS 2.1. so I could try
running 9i Rel 2 on linux.

I wonder how many people paid Red Hat twice...

Pat.

Partice,
If you purchased the Developer version you can get the ISO's from the
ISO site on RedHat or if you obtained the registration number from one
of the Oracle/RedHat seminars the ISO's are available.
If you are a student you are eligable to purchase the REDHAT AS under
the "education" link on their home site for a VERY reasonable price $50.
US.

Off line me an email with your needs.

I am still trying to figure out how to download 2.1...

The Red Hat Network account I have lets me download RHAS 2.1, but there
are
some 1230 packages to download and their web site only lets us download
them
in chunks of 50 packages.

This is from the "offer" Oracle posted last year on their web site,
which
pointed to the Red Hat site.

I don't see why they post the RHAS packages individually instead of CD
images.

They were able to post the RedHat 9 distribution properly, why not
RHAS.

Patrice.
