Hi Ok, I will not configure parallelism at instance level in OLTP databases but I still think isn´t a bad thing to parallelize long querys at hint or session level, on not heavy loaded servers. Of course, we need to monitor it. I want to see 4 cores working for one OLTP session, leaving 12 for other sessions or doing nothing...it´s bad? I just hate to see all these underused CPU power...and the users waiting. May be Oracle 12 will use all the cpu power of our servers automatically? Thank you for all your comments. Greetings. -----Mensaje original----- De: Marcin Przepiorowski [mailto:pioro1@xxxxxxxxx] Enviado el: viernes, 04 de diciembre de 2009 14:38 Para: Juan Cruz Miranda Vigo Asunto: Re: Parallel procesing configuration. There is many way to utilize CPU: - number of concurrent active sessions - level of parallelism for tables - etc If you can send more details it can be useful Marcin Przepiorowski http://oracleprof.blogspot.com/ -- http://www.freelists.org/webpage/oracle-l
