Let me add to my previous post (assuming they arrive at the list in the order I sent them). My reasoning is that in your early posts, I saw the words "recovery complete". If rman is telling the truth, then you have a consistent, fully recovered database, and all you need is a control file. In rman lingo, "restore" means put the files on disk; and "recover" means apply the logs and bring the database to a consist state. So I'm thinking that when you do your recover database using backup controlfile until cancel, you type cancel the first thing, then open the database resetlogs. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Please see the official ORACLE-L FAQ: http://www.orafaq.com ---------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe send email to: oracle-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx put 'unsubscribe' in the subject line. -- Archives are at //www.freelists.org/archives/oracle-l/ FAQ is at //www.freelists.org/help/fom-serve/cache/1.html -----------------------------------------------------------------
