.. Or wait till they have "10g upgrade exam for 8i,8 OCPs" like they do for 9i 
now. You can skip 8i upgrade by taking 9i exam if you are a 8/7.3 OCP.. again , 
if they follow "historical pattern" ;-)

Ryan - If it follows the historical pattern, you will have to take a single
upgrade exam to apply your 9i certification to 10g. I completed the 8i
certification, so I will be taking the 9i upgrade exam "real soon now".

I am certified. However, oracle requires certification if you go straight to
9i certification. you dont need one for upgrades. So I'm wondering if they
decide to make us take one for upgrading to 10g. 

I know you don't need one. I just got the books.
