I am also of the belief that the multiple block feature was intended mainly for use with transportable tablespaces, unfortunately the person designing this system is not of that belief. It seems now as if the burden of proof to use a uniform block size is mine. As Mladen said, there might be legitimate uses for using multiple block sizes within a database. However, without any experiance of supporting a system using multiple block sizes, I do not know what all the problems or benifits might be. That is part of the reason I was hoping to get some advice from the people who use this list Thanks for the input so far ---------------------------------------------------------------- Please see the official ORACLE-L FAQ: http://www.orafaq.com ---------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe send email to: oracle-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx put 'unsubscribe' in the subject line. -- Archives are at //www.freelists.org/archives/oracle-l/ FAQ is at //www.freelists.org/help/fom-serve/cache/1.html -----------------------------------------------------------------
