Yes, I work for an outsourcing company so all my time has to be accounted for in a similar manner. We use a call/incident tracking system so I use that in addition to a daily tasks report I create for myself and my manager to show where my time is spent in some detail, but not what I would consider too much detail. For example, time is rounded to .25 hour increments and I just put a short phrase about each of the high-level tasks on my daily report, I don't have to account for every individual minute or provide details of every single little piece of a task. It can still be a pain sometimes, but I'm used to it and I understand management's and our customers' need to see where their money is going.
