Rich,
nice find.
one could further (complicate?) limit it by specifying
that the stripe size of the resulting raid volume was
a multiple (integer) of the db_block_size.
the next article down, Robert Freeman misses on the
chunk size. 10 MB for a chunk size? I've heard of
sizes of (4 MB, 16 MB) chunks for the memory
allocations, but none of this base ten stuff. Makes me
think that he didn't actually run the commands and see
what came out after oracle applied its rounding biases
to his input.
