Depends how you want to play it, but I'd be tempted to say No.
I had a similar dilemma last year and got some good advice.

If you tell your boss, and then you don't get offered the job, they could 
potentially give you a hard time (if they aren't already).
If you want to use this as a bargaining tool, then wait until you get an offer 
in writing. You are then in a much better position to start negotiations. See 
if you get a good counter offer before deciding whether or not to accept the 
new post.
