Ann,
If that datafile doesn't exist on your backup, then you don't have it. You
could take a fresh backup, but if the user wants the one that is 15 days
old, that doesn't help.
If you mean that the datafile only contains indexes, then your best
alternative may be to just rebuild the indexes.
There are several goodies in 10g that may be of assistance if you have them
configured.
