Since there was no 9i port to Solx86, there was a 4
solid year lapse in production to that platform. Some
regression is not a surprise.

Are you referring to Sol10 for x86 with Oracle on Opteron?

Now, kudos to anyone that can guess the Oracle's master plan 
behind not porting 9i to Solx86...  I know ...
