I have to say that I started using TOAD version 6.7 right around the time
that quest purchased TOAD; prior to that I was a command line DBA. Since
then I have become a developer as well and I love TOAD it makes my life
easier every day and improves my productivity 100%. I have used almost every
version since and it is a great product. Some versions were a bit buggier
than others but the product managers are available via email and address
issues/bug I bring up right away. They are a pleasure to deal with. Do I use
every new feature, of course not but one never know what the future holds
and I'd rather have then in there and not use them than the reverse. I enjoy
having one tool to address all my DBA and Developer needs. I am not looking
to change anyone's mind but I figured with the TOAD bashing, someone should
say thank you for all the effort that goes into making TOAD an excellent
tool. I find a lot of people who don't like any tool (database related or
not) have not learned to use it sufficiently. BTW I have no stake in
Quest/TOAD.

This statement just isn't fair. I've spent the last 11 years trying to make
it a better product!
