Hi Norm, Gabriel,

I like both ideas but the one thing I would say to Gabriel is modify the
 idea to something that adds value to the team or is useful in general.
I find if someone does something that is "real" they really feel that
they are learning and being useful.

Maybe modify your idea to keep everything but make the data real; maybe
something useful to the DBA team such as monitoring or backup logs or
listener logs ....

If you choose things like this dont load them back into the prod
database and allow access (security concerns!)
