This was apparently removed from production. I tested it in production, and hints no longer work. They DID work in Beta. RF Robert G. Robert, In your blog you mention that the production docs no longer mention making an invisible hint usable via hints. From the 'New Features Guide': 1.2.9.4 Invisible Indexes An invisible index is an alternative to making an index unusable or even to drop it. An invisible index is maintained for any DML operation but is not used by the optimizer unless you explicitly specify the index with a hint. These docs were downloaded last week.
