But 10.1 is already out! :) = Pete = "Controlling developers is like herding cats." Kevin Loney, Oracle DBA Handbook = "Oh no, it's not. It's much harder than that!" What I mean there is how many of the problems that you see or encounter on 10g will they have seen previously (I see a comment about RAC has been made along these lines) - this emphatically isn't a criticism of support, just a suggestion that being one of the first to discover new issues can make resolution of those issues slower. I also like to wait for patchsets and not take .0 releases I have demos of 'features' that result in loss of service in 8170,9010 and 920 :( They got patched. I bet there is a 1010 demo waiting to be found as well. -- = Niall Litchfield Oracle DBA http://www.niall.litchfield.dial.pipex.com ---------------------------------------------------------------- Please see the official ORACLE-L FAQ: http://www.orafaq.com ---------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe send email to: oracle-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx put 'unsubscribe' in the subject line. -- Archives are at //www.freelists.org/archives/oracle-l/ FAQ is at //www.freelists.org/help/fom-serve/cache/1.html ----------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------- Please see the official ORACLE-L FAQ: http://www.orafaq.com ---------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe send email to: oracle-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx put 'unsubscribe' in the subject line. -- Archives are at //www.freelists.org/archives/oracle-l/ FAQ is at //www.freelists.org/help/fom-serve/cache/1.html -----------------------------------------------------------------
