OWA version 3.x in ORACLE9i

Hello all!
We are running oracle 9.2.0.8 on AIX.
I want to install application express.
It requires OWA (oracle web toolkit) version 10.1.2.0.6.
The version in our database is 3.0.9.8.7.

From what I have read, all of our web toolkit procedures should be ok, since
10.x is supposed to be downward compatible. 

I have been testing it and I see no conflicts.
Does anyone have any opinions or advice or see any problems?
(we are not moving to oracle 10g until the spring).
