Racoons have been in Northern Germany for many years. They have crossed into Denmark a couple of times, too. Didn't live for long, of course.

Correction : there WERE no raccoons in Germany. I have recently read a
story on the BBC site about wild racoons becoming a nuisance in some
parts of Germany. Import, like kartoffeln.
