In reality, I quite enjoy being a DBA but we're easy targets don't you
think? It's partly because we don't try to hide our mishaps. We take
responsibility and move on. It's the other 95% of "something's wrong with
the database" and "the database is slow today" that we all get on a regular
basis. So, some years ago, another [bitter] DBA I know came up with the
alternate acronym.
And I'm no more bitter than the rest of you :-)
