Partitioning is one of those options that does cost you extra $$$, $15K
per cpu is memory is serving correctly, but if you do have very large
tables that are always getting hit or complex partition like views then
it can pay for itself in the short term.

Subject: ORACLE EE and XE extra cost options

We have ORACLE 10.2 EE on Linux server. we may use "oracle Partition"
function and I check ORACLE doc:

http://download-east.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/license.102/b14199/edi
tions.htm#CJACGHEB

It say EE and Extra cost. Does anyone know "ORACLE partition" include
on E.E. or it need extra cost?

Thanks.
