Hi Folks,

I am curious to find out if anyone has done any benchmark testing on
this feature of 11g? if yes then what were the findings in terms of:

- Space savings and was there any direct correlation between space
savings and the data type?

- CPU overhead when querying data in the compressed tables?

- CPU overhead when issuing DML statements on the compressed
tables?

- Overall benefits in terms of justification of licensing cost
versus the benefits?

I am able to find some evidence here
http://www.oraone.nl/blog/-/blogs/using-advanced-compression but the
test conducted was not really extensive.

Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Amir
