OEMGC and Standard Edition?

Ladies and Gents,

We're interested in finding out if we can use Standard Edition as opposed to Enterprise Edition.  Just testing the water...

Looking at Oracle Support note #465460.1 (entitled "Differences between Enterprise, Standard, and Personal Editions on 11.1"), it seems that none of the OEM "management packs" can be installed on Standard Edition (SE)...

This makes sense, since so many of the things that these "management packs" rely upon are part of Enterprise Edition (EE).  C'est la vie...

But my big question is:  can a Standard Edition database be managed with OEM Grid Control or not?  Granted, without all these nice packs.  What is your experience?

Thanks!
