I have seen a similar error on rhel4 in its early does of release. It was
because of missing rpm, compat-db. You can try installing compat-db rpm to
fix this error. Remember you in untested waters, RHEL5 is still not
certified with oracle

Subject: OEM error: mod_auth_dbm.so: undefined symbol: dbm_fetch

Hi folks,

We're trying to install Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control on a RHEL5
server. We're getting the following error when OPMN is started, either via
the installer or manually:

--------
07/07/06 13:20:44 Start process
--------
/u01/app/oracle/product/oms10g/Apache/Apache/bin/apachectl start: execing
httpd Syntax error on line 233 of
/u01/app/oracle/product/oms10g/Apache/Apache/conf/httpd.conf:
Cannot load
/u01/app/oracle/product/oms10g/Apache/Apache/libexec/mod_auth_dbm.so into
server:
/u01/app/oracle/product/oms10g/Apache/Apache/libexec/mod_auth_dbm.so:
undefined symbol: dbm_fetch

Has anyone out there tried installing OEM Grid Control 10.2.0.3 on a RHEL5
server?

If anyone has any suggestions for resolving this, they would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks,
Lou Avrami
