Hi,
I have created 2 10g R2 databases on my RedHat Linux Enterprise Linux 4
server.
I started the EM for the first database (database control) without any
problem.
I could access this with the below URL:
http://oracle10g.localdomain:1158/em/console/aboutApplication
But, when I tried to start the Database control for the second database, I
am getting the below error.
#########################################################################################
[oracle@oracle10g ~]$ emctl start dbconsole
TZ set to US/Central
Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g Database Control Release 10.2.0.1.0
Copyright (c) 1996, 2005 Oracle Corporation. All rights reserved.
http://oracle10g.localdomain:5500/em/console/aboutApplication
- An instance of Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g Database Control is already
running.
#########################################################################################
Does this mean that ONLY ONE Database control can run on the same machine at
the same time???
Then, how will I monitor my second database or multiple databases on a
single machine ???
I know the obvious choice will be grid control...
But is there anyway to do this with multiple Database controls ???
Thanks in advance,
Anurag
