So, the network guy gets a new tool that tells him something he never knew
before and he is trying to push this issue off on you? Wow, give this guy
some arbitrary Oracle performance tool and he'll have you fired by the end
of the week.
    Tell him that if his stinking network is losing packets then he needs to
fix the problem. Last time I checked, lost packets were a network issue, not
an application issue. I'm guessing if the network loses a packet
and succeeds on a retry, then it never looks like an error to the
application. Maybe you could file a TAR and see if you can get a
better explanation.
