RE: MView... Fresh build is much faster than Complete refresh...

Do you have false and true backwards in your email below?
 
According to the 10.2 docs, several Metalink notes, and the notes from
Jared and Gints, the default is atomic_refresh=>TRUE, and you have to
change it to FALSE to get the faster TRUNCATE & Direct INSERT behavior.

What was interesting too was if I did atomic_refesh=>FALSE (the default)
it took 25 seconds LONGER than if I didn't put it in at all. That was
weird!! Perhaps something with the code tree that is inefficient??
 
Atomic_refresh=>true = much faster!!!

MVIEW Refreshes changing from Truncate to delete/insert in 10g I'll
never know!!! 
         
         
        The atomic refresh took the refresh down to 51 seconds pretty
reliably.
