Interconnect and asm for sharing disk

Hello,

A question for ASM's guru.
Do i need an interconnect between servers if i want to share the ASM group
disks between servers ?.
I won't use RAC Databases.
What is the interconnect traffic with ASM "RAC" instances ?.
