Hugepages - benefits / drawbacks

Hello to everyone
SuSE SLES 10 64bit, Oracle 10.2.0.4 standalone (no RAC)
We are planning to utilize hugepages on systems that come with 32GB to
64GB of memory. We are following steps from Metalink note 560501.1.
Are there some real performance gains when using hugepages? Are there
some new problems introduced with this option?
