If you get cpu, licenses, that is. You can also get per-user licenses, for
much much less (something like $800 per User - but don't quote me on that
number :-)

Oracle has touted Linux as a low cost platform for Oracle.

Where they get you is the licensing for RAC.  This may have
been what you heard.

Licensing for EE with partitioning on a 2 CPU box lists at $100k.

Add in some enterprise level storage, and then you see that
the price of the OS license really doesn't make much difference
in the overall cost of the system.
