Nuno, you are one the best guys that I have never met, but, in this
instance you are wrong. One can buy tech support for MySQL
(http://www.mysql.com) and that, precisely, is commercial apeal of
MySQL. The MySQL itself is under GPL, just like, say, PostgresSQL, but
you can also buy it as a commercial product, with license, tech support,
literature and upgrades, the whole 9 yards. That is the reason why a
substandard database is spreading like wildfire.
