Hi Niall,
I saw too many broken jobs while creating standby of 10g db by EM running on
Windows platform. You are too lucky to see the success.

Derya.

So I tried to use EM10GR2 to schedule a build of a 9204 standby database

EM took the - to me - interesting approach of restoring datafile backups one
at a time to the standby - and indeed by default using HTTP to transfer the
files. primary db is 50gb, primary, secondary and oms all have gb ethernet
cards, Elapsed time to build and instantiate the standby?
Status Succeeded
Scheduled 30-Oct-2006 11:26:32 (UTC+00:00)
Started 30-Oct-2006 11:26:32 (UTC+00:00)
Ended 31-Oct-2006 19:03:35 (UTC+00:00)
Elapsed Time 113822 seconds
Notification NoHo hum, I'll stick to scripts in the future. For those
interested there were a couple of 11gb datafiles that took the majority of
the time.
