Any thoughts gang? I'll be so glad when the 8.1.6 is all gone.

Subject: Connecting...ORA-03134: Connections to this server version are
no longer supported.

Has anyone gotten this error and found a way to resolve it?

I am trying to connect from a 10.2.0.1 client to an 8.1.6.1 database.

This is for the migration of the old prodwhs/ckprod2 databases on the
old Sun server D21 (8.1.6.1 database).

The user wants to write a program to access the tables on the old D21
server to test with and then later test against the new DE1 (10g)
database.

I looked in metalink and the notes in there indicated that this problem
should have been resolved with the 10.2 client software but it does not
seem to work.

Any ideas?

Thanks.....Lisa
