And below is an example of an alert which comes through OEM if the cell plugin
has been installed and configured

Subject: CELL dm02cel02: Hardware Alert: critical

Hardware Alert 6 is triggered at 2010-11-27T14:12:27+11:00 with message:
Cellsrv detected poor performance for celldisk FD_08_cel02, flashdisk
5080020000c79c4FMOD0, Slot Num: PCI Slot: 4; FDOM: 0. Reason for poor
performance: high threshold for service time triggered. Data from this celldisk
is being proactively dropped and any flashcache on it is disabled.
CELL name: cel02, System serial number: 1015XFG058
The suggested action is: The flash disk at PCI Slot: 4; FDOM: 0 should be
replaced at the earliest opportunity. If all 4 flash disks on the same card
have failed due to poor performance, the flash card may need to be replaced.

Vishal,

I am not aware of any other method other than 'cellcli list alerthistory'.
Even
the tools (under /opt/oracle.SupportTools) use the cellcli , so I guess it not
recorded in /var/log/messages. I may be wrong :)

Does it put these failure message in /var/log/message file etc? I want to
integrate failures on Exadata into our enterprise monitoring. I can watch for
system error logfile for particular messages. But don’t want to receive emails
or check manually.
