Thanks so much Anjo for the support.
For the upcoming Benchmark with Solaris 10/RAC Oracle 10.2, we need to
define the "File system" setup.
Seek your advice on the following:-
Qs 1 Is QFS Certified for Solaris 10/Oracle RAC 10.2? Seemingly it has
been certified last year for Oracle 9i.
Qs 2 Which is advisable - Veritas CFS (SFRAC) or Sun QFS?
(i) Does QFS support Low Latency Protocol (LLT) or the default User
Datagram Protocol (UDP) only?
NOTE - Veritas CFS (SFRAC) does support LLT.
(ii)) Is QFS in use at Large Production RAC 10g Sites?
(iii) Do both QFS & Veritas CFS(SFRAC) support Concurrent IO [CIO] i.e.
multiple threads can simultaneously perform reads and writes on a shared
file?
NOTE - CIO is available with JFS2 Filesystem from AIX.
Qs 3 What is the Effort needed to switch from Veritas CFS(SFRAC 4.1 or
5.0{if certified too}) to QFS & vice-versa by using a baseline UFS
database in case of Bugs/performance issues on either?
NOTE - RAW, ASM are being avoided for now.
Thanks indeed
Vivek

Documentation for Performance.
Benchmark Config info:-
Approx 30,000 Concurrent OLTP sessions will be spawned
Application = Banking
Num of Database Server Nodes = 4
Each DB Server Node = 28 CPUs
DB Server model = SF25000
Oracle Shared or dedicated Servers will be used
DB Size = 4 TB
Thanks indeed
