RE: Database Link Timer

Thanks Jared, Mark and Larry,

I realized that the SQLNET.ORA paramet SQLNET.EXPIRE_TIME might help me
here.  And it looks like I might be able to test it today - our network is
losing it's mind again.

PL/SQL does not have signals.

If you wrote this in a language that was
more suited to systems programming, such
as oh, say, Perl, this would be easy.

And no, I am not being facetious. 

PL/SQL is not an appropriate tool for this
kind of work.

You may be able to do this in Java, but I
don't know.
