Allowing Oracle to set db_file_multiblock_read_count automatically is
fine- we do it all the time. However,not generating system statistics
seems to be a bad idea.
Unless you have a specific reason for not doing it, I would suggest
doing it.

Subject: reg: DB_FILE_MULTIBLOCK_READ_COUNT
Hi all,
Currently we are in 10204 on windows 2003 server , and we are using
DB_FILE_MULTIBLOCK_READ_COUNT=32 in our database .
We are planning to move from 10204 to 11201 on windows 2008 server .
And also i am thinking to remove this mutiblock parameter so that oracle
will choose to go with auto tuned DB_FILE_MULTIBLOCK_READ_COUNT,
And also we are not generating system statistics in our database.
Is this way is healthier for us.
can anybody comment on this.
