Hi,
there should be something hidden behind the scenes... I've failed to
reproduce the behaviour you've
described (TM eXclusive lock) as well.
ALTER TABLE xxx DISABLE LOCKING may probably help. However, I'd try to
find the root cause
of X-lock beforehand.
