Why would he crank up anything? Is there a problem? DBCHR is low according
to Joan Rivers, so what? Instead of worrying about DBCHR, you should give a
call to GEICO. It will have the same effect on your database, and it will
save you some money on car insurance.

40 Gb database with a 250Mb SGA. What is your db_cache_size? What are you
running on? I would crank that db_cache_size somewhere close to 2Gb and then
never worry about it again.
