Thanks, I've got a different lead to follow-up for now. I'll let the list know what happens... Thanks! -----Original Message----- From: oracle-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:oracle-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Robyn Sent: Wednesday, July 20, 2005 1:12 PM To: oracle-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Cc: Khemmanivanh, Somckit Subject: Re: Anyone found a way around this??? You can copy the oracle inventory files from SID1. If your directory structure is consistent, the installer should allow you to proceed with the patch. Check the file Dennis mentions below to see where Oracle is expecting to find the files. If you've already patched SID1, you would have to find a backup with a pre-patch version of the inventory. Or if you've already patched SID1, recopy SID1 executables to SID2, relink and run the cat scripts for the SID database(s). Bring the oracle inventory files too and you'll be ready for the next patch.
