RE: About oracle-l: some odd combinations of characters

Interesting...
Lisa's second message showed only "=20".
But when included in Mark's reply, it showed "=3D20".
Btw. the first Lisa's message now shows "=3D3D20" - keeps adding "3D".

Sorry, still seeing '=3D20', but only at the end of the first line of
text.

Lisa,

Have you checked on your Outlook what settings you have for
Tools>Options>Mail Format? Check what you have set for "Internet Format"
and "International Options." What encoding are you using for outgoing
messages? Have you tried changing to a different encoding? Or it could
just be your Exchange server (or any other stop along the way) that is
adding the =3D3D3D3D20 to your messages when an unknown character is =
found
=3D
=3D3D
in
your message.

Your header says:=3D3D3D20

>X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V6.00.2800.1165
>Content-Class: urn:content-classes:message
>MIME-Version: 1.0
>Content-type: text/plain; charset=3D3D3D3Dus-ascii
>Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit

Perhaps the =3D3D3D3D20 is the result of some funky behavior between =
=3D3D
us-ascii
encoding and 2003. Is your email server formatting or retouching -so to
speak- your email messages before forwarding them? Just a thought!

Well, well, well. Troublemaker strikes again.

I am using Outlook 2002 on an XP laptop, I'm 99% sure our exchange
server is running 2003. =3D3D3D3D20

Honestly everyone! The extra characters don't bother me. It's a small
price to pay just to have this list available. Jeez, it's =3D
FREE.=3D3D3D3D20

Have a great weekend, everyone.

I don't use Outlook and I see it (=3D3D3D3D3D20) in mails from Lisa =
Koivu
=3D
=3D3D
=3D3D3D
only.
Maybe she use new Outlook 2003?
