AUD$.SQL_TEXT in 9i

Hello All,
We would like to enable auditing on 9i database using default DDL feature.
But it seems the AUD$ table doesn't have the SQL_TEXT column. But in 10g, we
do have it. After checking few links in the net, it seems that with option
"db, extended" we can have information of sql_text and sql_bind, which is
not available in 9i.
What I would like to know is this a known limitation in 9i? are there are
any workarounds apart from post DDL triggers ?
Could someone please help me?
