Hi All,
I am trying to configure ASM through asmlib on my Linux 5
machine .
I am having difficulty at the time of creating ASM disk . it says " Disk or
resource busy ".

[root@localhost anupamp]# /etc/init.d/oracleasm createdisk DATA2 /dev/sda6
Marking disk "DATA2" as an ASM disk: [FAILED]
[root@localhost anupamp]# tail -5 /var/log/oracleasm
Cleaning any stale ASM disks...
Scanning system for ASM disks...
Unable to open device "/dev/sda1": Device or resource busy
Unable to open device "/dev/sda1": Device or resource busy
Unable to open device "/dev/sda6": Device or resource busy
[root@localhost anupamp]#

How to solve this issue .

Thanks And Regards,
   Anupam
