Hello,
I am trying to get my APEX 4.1 to generate PDF downloads. I understand
conceptually what needs to happen. I also understand the BI Publisher is
the preferred Oracle solution. However, it is not free.

My hope is that somebody here who is familiar with APEX can look at the
results I am getting back from my PDF service (J4LFOPServer) and tell me
what I need to do to make it work.

I?ve installed J4LFOPServer on my windows XP machine. The Example provided
with the J4LFOPServer install works fine, so no problem there.(I can access
it from a web page and it properly generates PDFs

After setting up APEX 4.1 Report Printing

I get a corrupt PDF back that contains the following text:

ORA-20001: The printing engine could not be reached because either the URL
specified is incorrect or a proxy URL needs to be specified.

!null){if(GetCookie('ORA_WWV_QUICK_EDIT') ==
'SHOW'){quickLinks('SHOW');}}})();

});

//-->

</script></body>

</html>

A couple of times I got something slightly different when I set up the print
parameters differently (I mention this because it seems to indicate that
J4LFOPServer is reachable by my APEX install) ?
