Newer versions of cygwin include "-multiwindow" in the default
server parameters of the startx script, which has the effect of
placing each X Window server into their own window (instead
of using a semi-full screen X Windows manager).

By the way, cygwin is changing from XFree86 to Xorg.

Have Fun :)
