Turns out I was the bad guy here. I accidently fubared
the thing by miss-matching some exp/imp version. It apparently squashed
dbconsole beyond recognition and I was in such a hurry I missed it and
plowed on into patching. My bad.
Thanks for the confirmation that all is ok with rh4. I'd gotten the
sense it was similar in nature that 8i went with one rh version and 9i went
with another. Well, without doing back flips.
