I get connected failed because target host or object does not exist. Below are the tnsnames entries. Krb1 works, connects to public ip, krb2 does not, it connects to a scan ip. Tnsping works on both krb1 and krb2 .: KRB1 = (DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = 10.12.1.140)(PORT = 1521)) (LOAD_BALANCE = yes) (CONNECT_DATA = (SERVER = DEDICATED) (SERVICE_NAME = krbllgr2) (INSTANCE_NAME = krbllgr21) ) ) KRB2 = (DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = 10.12.1.148)(PORT = 1521)) (LOAD_BALANCE = yes) (CONNECT_DATA = (SERVER = DEDICATED) (SERVICE_NAME = krbllgr2) (INSTANCE_NAME = krbllgr21) ) ) On Sun, Jan 17, 2010 at 10:27 AM, Ghassan Salem <salem.ghassan@xxxxxxxxx>wrote: > Yes you should be able to do so, > do you get any error message? is the listener on that ip up and sevicing > your dbs? > > rgds > > > On Sun, Jan 17, 2010 at 4:36 PM, Andrew Kerber <andrew.kerber@xxxxxxxxx>wrote: > >> Well, after much work I finally figured out how to install 11GR2 clustered >> with a SCAN listener.
