In my opinion very difficult to run both of them with 512MB. I recently
installed 10g with 9.2 client only on my machine and it passes almost 600M.
9.2 SGA is 118M and 10g is almost 164MB. System is just dying with 512MB.
Work around is keep to keep only one database up at one time.
I am thinking to add 512MB more.

For those of you that have set up test databases on your laptops or desktops, with around 512Mb of physical RAM:
What settings do you use for your SGA sizes? I suppose the main ones are:
Db_block_buffers/db_cache_size java_pool_size large_pool_size shared_pool_size
I have a totally default installation of 9.2 on my desktop for testing with. I want to install 10g along side it.. Preferably I'd like to have them both up and running at the same time.
