upgrading R12.0.4 to R12.0.6 and DB upgrade from 10G to 11G

Hi DBAs,

We are in phase of installing R12.0.4 on 10G database.Then we plan to
upgrade R12.0.4 to R12.0.6
and database from 10G to 11g.I have the following points to ask:

1. Where will the step to upgrade to 11G come.Will it be after application
upgrade to 12.0.6 or before that?
Can any one help me out on this,whats the 11G interoperability note or
metalink doc for reference
