thanks for the reply, 
something i forgot to mention, oracle applications  run on Windows 2003 server 
as well.

So what you suggest is still a solution or not?

On xp you need to install a network printer server , from add remove windows 
component (it will add network printer service for unix in your windows service 
you need to make sure that its up), this will make the printer like network 
printer where you can print on it form any where.

I am having an issue with printer setup, here is the details:

I am able to print from network printer, but can not print from a remote 
printer which connected to remote xp client and printer is shared.


Printer is OKI ML 520 Ellite.
